The training offers trainees a working knowledge of the principals of crop production, with the aim of covering the following topics: agricultural production and sustainability, Introduction to the crop, Pre-cultivation preparations, How to obtain good seeds/seedlings, Land preparation, Planting/transplanting, Fertilizer application, Weed management, Crop maintenance, Major pests, Major diseases, Harvesting, Post harvest handling and Keeping farm records.
